第八届vector最佳拖链应用奖的评比活动现已开启，作品投递截至2022年2月11日。由高性能工程塑料制成的igus拖链像蛇一样灵活，它的旋转角度达7000°，运行速度高达10m/s，并且能在三维空间中移动。针对这种igus拖链的相关应用，每两年都会有一个名为vector奖的评选活动，届时一家评审团会在所有参赛作品中评选出4个尤为引人入胜的项目，并为其颁发vector奖，最高奖金为5000欧元。
